Sensory Rooms

The development of sensory rooms and spaces can be helpful in promoting relaxation and reducing challenging behaviors in individuals with a variety of diagnoses, including sensory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorders, and Alzheimer’s. Sensory room consultation includes assessment of the proposed space, trialing of materials to meet the needs of the individual(s) and ensure engagement, recommendations on brand/quality selection, and working with general contractors/project managers as necessary. Sensory rooms can be developed on a small or large scale, in residences or commercial facilities, and with nearly every budget in mind.
